WSJ Quotes Tama Kudman and Mitchell Epner on What’s Next for Sean Diddy Combs

Tama Kudman and Mitchell Epner share their insights for the Wall Street Journal on what could be expected next for Sean Diddy Combs after he was acquitted on the most serious criminal charges. Tama noted that Combs’s lawyers might be trying to get him out of Brooklyn federal jail MDC, explaining, “[i]f he is sentenced to any time in addition to the time that he has already spent sitting at MDC, he will go to a much better facility. You want your client out of MDC.”

Mitchell stated that the sentences proposed by both sides are in the realm of possibility for Combs and a judge is likely to consider Combs’s status as a first-time offender and his well-documented history of domestic abuse in sentencing factors. Mitchell opined, “[i]f you told me that the judge is going to essentially sentence him to time served, I would not be surprised.. If you told me that it was going to be something as high as the five years that the government is saying, I would not be surprised.”
