Tama Beth Kudman represents individuals and companies under investigation and prosecution by Federal and State law enforcement.

Ms. Kudman, a partner of Kudman Trachten Aloe Posner LLP, focuses on complex, high-stakes matters in Government Enforcement, Compliance, Internal Investigations, Federal and State Criminal and White Collar Litigation; Federal and State Qui Tam Defense; Criminal, Civil and Administrative Health Care Fraud Litigation; and Complex Commercial Litigation.

Ms. Kudman is proud of her participation in high-profile cases throughout the country, including the acquittal of a police officer accused of violating the civil rights of Abner Louima in the Eastern District of New York and a pharmacist accused in a 48-count Indictment related to the Unlawful Distribution of Controlled Substances in the Southern District of Florida. She has represented reputed organized crime figures, executives, lawyers, accountants, sports figures, religious clergy, politicians, healthcare providers, and other well-known individuals and corporations. She was a member of the trial team responsible for the cancellation of the Pilates trademark. She is most proud of the cases that were never prosecuted due to her diligent investigation and detailed presentations to prosecutors and agencies. 

A dual-major in history and political science, Ms. Kudman graduated Barnard College, Columbia University  and received her Juris Doctorate from The Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University. Ms. Kudman is an active member of the American Bar Association (ABA) Healthcare and Criminal Law Sections, the Women’s White Collar Defense Association (WWCDA), the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) where she is a member of the White-Collar Crime Committee, the Federal Bar Association (FBA), the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (FACDL), and the Palm Beach County Bar Association. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in North America.

Ms. Kudman has been elected to serve a three-year term, starting in 2023, on the Board of Directors for the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County. She was appointed to serve on the Federal Magistrate Judge Merit Selection Panel for the Southern District of Florida in 2017 and 2019. Ms. Kudman is rated Martindale-Hubbell, AV® Preeminent™, and has been selected to the Florida Super Lawyers list since 2015 and the New York City Metropolitan area for 2022. She has also been selected by her peers for recognition in The Best Lawyers in America® since 2018 in the areas of Criminal Defense and White-Collar Criminal Defense. Ms. Kudman was honored as “Lawyer of the Year” in West Palm Beach in 2020 and 2023 for White-Collar Criminal Defense and again in 2022 and 2024 for General Criminal Defense by The Best Lawyers in America®. She has continuously been recognized by Palm Beach Illustrated as a Top Lawyer in the areas of Criminal Defense White-Collar and Criminal Defense Non White-Collar in Palm Beach County. 

Ms. Kudman has been recognized by Chambers USA in the area of Litigation: White Collar Crime & Government Investigations in Florida. Ms. Kudman was appointed Chair of the Criminal Law Practice Committee for the Palm Beach County Bar Association for 2013-2014.

Ms. Kudman has appeared on both National and local news stations as a legal expert and has been quoted by National and local publications, including: the New York Times, The Palm Beach Post, The Sun Sentinel, The Miami Herald, and The Boston Globe. She has lectured on a variety of topics for organizations, including: The NACDL, The Florida Bar Association, The University of Miami Chaykin Ethics Seminar, The Palm Beach County Bar Association, The Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and The Florida Paralegal Association.
