Associate

Lorena Niyazov

Lorena, an associate, joined KTAP in 2022 upon receiving her Juris Doctorate from St. John’s University. 

Lorena gained her passion for transactional law prior to attending law school, and sharpened her research, drafting, and negotiation skills through her academics and in the many firms at which she interned, clerked, and worked for. Since joining KTAP, she has gained invaluable experience in her role as a corporate and M&A attorney and through her various roles in her the representation of clients in corporate, commercial, transactional, and other business matters.  

Prior to joining the firm, Lorena worked in the commercial real estate department of a NYC law firm, where she assisted in representing lenders on commercial loans. 

Lorena received her B.A./B.S in economics from St. John’s University, giving her a broad understanding of domestic and international economic issues and policies. Upon acceptance to St. John’s School of Law, Lorena was awarded the St. Thomas More full tuition scholarship, which covered all three years of law school. She was also selected  as a Mattone Fellow.  As a fellow, Lorena participated in a specialized curriculum track and was granted an annual stipend to focus on refining her transactional law skills through professional workshops and classes. 

Lorena was born and raised in Queens, where she currently resides with her husband.
