April 16, 2024, New York, NY – Kudman Trachten Aloe Posner LLP is pleased to announce the addition of former Assistant U.S. Attorney and seasoned litigator Mitchell Epner in its New York office. Mitchell joins KTAP as a senior counsel.
Mitchell has experience in virtually all forms of complex litigation, including employment, entertainment, securities, patent and other intellectual property and trusts and estates. His criminal expertise includes government enforcement, compliance, and federal and state white collar litigation.
Some of Mitchell’s most notable matters include a victory at the Supreme Court in KSR International Co. v. Teleflex, Inc., considered one of the most important patent decisions of the last 30 years; a series of wins for the controlling shareholders of Hudson News in $1 billion litigation against one of the world’s 20 wealthiest individuals; representation of the former Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Human Resources Officer of Silicon Valley Bank; and representation of leading pharmaceutical companies in patent litigations regarding products with over $1 billion per year in sales.
Mitchell was most recently with Rottenberg Lipman Rich, P.C. From 2001 to 2004, he served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the District of New Jersey where he successfully prosecuted more than 150 cases.

Mitchell received his J.D. from Harvard Law School and served as law clerk to Judge Conrad K. Cyr (United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit) and Judge Herbert N. Maletz (United States District Court for the District of Maryland).
